The Diptera Collection


The entire collection is sorted to family and a substantial part to species. Particular strengths are North European and Mediterranean orthorhaphans, syrphids, and calyptrates, and Patagonian Brachycera. There are also good holdings of various Brachycera from Kashmir, S India, Thailand, Philippines, Bismark Is., and East Africa. The collection contains numerous types; in addition to Fabrician types, types of C.R.W. Wiedemann, R.C. Staeger, and W. Lundbeck may be mentioned.
