Responsibilities: Assisting the Curator of the Copenhagen Bird Ringing Centre with the maintenance of the Data Collection: Supervising the summoning of ringers' reports. In charge of issuing Ringing Licences. Main administrator of the registration and processing of incoming recoveries and controls of ringed birds, incl. trouble-shooting. Documenting and compiling scientists' contracts, regulations for ringers, various guidelines, etc. Drafting any individual correspondence with foreign ringing centrals, ringers, recovery reporters. Contributing to as well as copy-editing and laying-out newsletters. Designing, producing and revising the Ringing Centre standard letters and -forms. Organizing major snail-mail communications.

Other information: Extracurricular abilities: Linguistic proof-reading as well as translation to/from various languages: Fluent in the Scandinavian languages as well as English (in possession of the equivalent of a B.A. in British lit/lang/hist.), good German, some French, able to decipher most other Germanic and Romance languages.
