WORKSHOPS OF THE ZOOLOGICAL MUSEUM, 1993-1997

The workshop section is responsible for most of the technical tasks related to the public exhibition, much of those relating to the museum building and furthermore provides technical assistance to the scientific departments (e.g., insect drawers and collecting gear). The section includes:

The Head of the Workshops section, Hans Madsen (taxidermist), who coordinates the work of the section, including accounting and acquisition of materials, and looks after contacts with authorities, consultants and deliverers. He also is practical leader of the security organization of the museum.

The Metal workshop, Kai Hammer.

The Electrician workshop, Flemming Sørensen.

The Printing-office, Preben Jensen, Eva Bonde. The office, among many other things, prints the museum's journals as well as material for the school service at the public exhibitions.

The Carpenter workshop, Kurt Johansen, Marianne Møs (1993), Bo Esbensen (1993-1994).

Workshop assistants, Jens V. Haack, Per Timm Jørgensen (1995-), Carl A. Carlberg (-1994), Bryan Olofsson (-1995).

Most workshop staff members further function as security watches during week-ends.
