Population trends and density regulation in Baltic migrants

Large numbers of migrant passerines are ringed during spring and autumn on the small Danish island of Christiansø in the Baltic Sea. Using the data for 1976-1996 the population trend of the 29 most numerous species have been investigated. This includes an examination of the occurence of density dependent regulation, and in which part of the annual cycle it may eventually take place (C. Rahbek, with J. Rabøl, Zoological Institute).
