Domestic animals
A long-term investigation of a primitive sheep breed (Gotland) at the Historical-Archaeological Research Center, Lejre has been continued*. A study of some sex-related characters in the pelvic bone of domestic sheep (Ovis aries) has been completed*. A study on castration of Neolihic cattle (Bos taurus) has been completed. Several investigations of bone remains from Danish Iron Age and Medieval Sites have been completed including one dealing with sacrificed cattle on the Iron Age settlemens Bukkerup and Turup, Fyn* (T. Hatting).
