- Large size.
- Frontal vitta subparallel (not distinctly narrowing towards lunule).
- Eye hairy (sometimes sparsely).
- Parafacial plate setose and with a more or less distinct row of bristly setae along inner (anterior) margin.
- First flagellomere at most 2x as long as pedicel.
- Vibrissa distinctly above lower margin of facial plate and genal groove large.
- Epiphallus large and with swollen tip.
