- Male without orbital bristles.
- Parafacial plate setose, sometimes sparsely; often with setae forming a row.
- Costal spine short; at most as long as crossvein r-m and usually barely discernible.
- Abdominal pattern a dense microtomentum with ill defined lateral spots and a median stripe.
- Phallus with a pair of arms slanting from an apical insertion point towards the base of the acrophallus.
- Acrophallus strongly tapering.
