Dr Sinha obtained his PhD with a thesis on calyptrate flies
(Muscidae, Callliphoridae, Sarcophagidae) from the large wetlands called the Sundarbans.
He now has a permanent position as Assistant Professor at the Department of Zoology, Sonamukhi College,
West Bengal, and he is undertaking a two year research project funded by the University Grants Commission,
Govt. of India, entitled: "Study of Miltogramminae in Eastern region of India". The project includes Malaise
trapping in West Bengal, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, Orissa and Jharkhand.
