H. Rokuro Kano (1920-2000)
Rokuro Kano was for many years research leader at the Medical and Dental University in Tokyo, and he worked extensively with calyptrate Diptera of Medical interest. Within the Sarcophagidae, he proposed 2 family-group names, 14 genus-group names and 101 species-group names.
