Research interests: Taxonomy and Phylogeny of the spider family Theraphosidae, with emphasis on the poorly known Ischnocolinae subfamily. Taxonomy of the spider families Theraphosidae and Barychelidae, and especially the definition of these two families. Taxonomy of Neotropical Cyrtaucheniidae.
Other information: PhD student at Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo, Brasil (2003-present). Currently guest-student at the Entomology Department, Zoological Museum Copenhagen (from February 2005 to February 2006).
