Research: Biomechanics of terrestrial locomotion in mammals and dinosaurs. Biomechanics of mammalian locomotion and anatomical adaptations for speed are main areas of interest. Phylogeny of various reptile groups, mainly dinosaurs and varanoids. Additional research focuses on functional anatomy of dinosars, with respects to physiology and adaptations to locomotion and feeding mechanics and correlations of anatomical parameters for mass prediction in fossil vertebrates.

Teaching:

        Courses: Advanced course in zoomorphology at the University of Copenhagen.
A 12 week course in vertebrate evolution at the open university, including occasional 6 week courses on dinosaurs and mammals.

        Project supervision: Supervision of student projects for anatomy courses at the University of Copenhagen, mainly in zoomorphology.
